Welcome to Christ Covenant Church

If You're Visiting

Welcome to Christ Covenant Church! We are a Christ-centered, evangelical and reformed congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America. What we are attempting to build, here in Matthews, is a unique church that is committed to Generations in Community. Our goal is to create an authentic, multi-generational community which is truly a spiritual family.

To do so, we need to welcome well and enfold warmly those who visit us and those who seek to join our fellowship. Our purpose is to aid people in the worship of God, growth in community, the care of others and service to the world. Our Welcome and New Member Ministry, under the direction of Mary Jo Culver and her team, exists to assist you in finding your place in our growing family.

welcome!
Please take some time to peruse the information included on this page of our website. Our prayer is that the Lord will use us to help you find your place in our community of faith, here at Christ Covenant Church.

Grace to you,
Mike Ross

Senior Pastor

Whether you are thinking about visiting Christ Covenant or have already come and are interested in finding out more… we welcome you and hope you are warmly greeted with the love of Christ.

We realize that new situations can be difficult and overwhelming in a large church such as ours, but our desire is to help you find the joy of community and worship that we have found here.

We want you to know that we are available for you - to answer questions, to help you connect to others, to be your "road in" as you learn more about Christ Covenant and seek to find if God is leading you here to be a part of this community of believers.

OUR PURPOSE
Christ Covenant Church is a reformed congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America committed to making disciples who worship God, grow in community, love others and serve the world.

OUR MISSION
Christ Covenant Church seeks to develop disciples of Jesus Christ by helping them move toward spiritual maturity.

Worship God
We will enable people to encounter the living God in the context of His worshipping community and to hear the proclamation of the Gospel in its full counsel.

Grow in Community
We will encourage those who have come to saving faith to become members of Christ Covenant Church and enfold them into a class or small group in order to learn and apply God's Word to their lives.

Love Others
We will equip members for deeper and more practical levels of discipleship as they learn to love Christ and others more deeply and to live out the Gospel in every arena of life.

Serve the World
We will engage members in the advance of the Kingdom of God, both near and far, by sharing the Gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit with lost persons and by reflecting the beauty and holiness of Christ to lost cultures.

Everyone
Worship

Morning Worship begins at 10:45 am and Evening Worship begins at 6:00 pm.

Communion

Our church participates in the Lord’s Communion the first Sunday of every month. How do we fence our table? We must be baptized believers in Christ, a member in good standing of an evangelical church, be doing all we can to live in peace with other believers and we should be free from scandalous sin.

Sunday Bible School

Our leadership shepherds our congregation through season of life communities, we call “Congregational Communities." We have Sunday morning classes for each Congregational Community.
Time: 9:00 am
