Please contact John Haines at 704-708-6124, or Liz McNulty at 704-814-1031, with additional questions about the opportunities listed below.

SANCTUARY CHOIR
The adult choir leads God’s people in the singing of hymns, psalms and spiritual songs and presents anthems that reflect God’s nature and work in the lives of believers.  The choir also presents a number of special concerts throughout the year as well as supporting events developed for fellowship and outreach.  Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 p.m.; childcare is provided.  This is a wonderful opportunity for those God has gifted with music to use their gifts in worship.

YOUTH WORSHIP ENSEMBLE  (Middle & High School Youth)

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC MINISTRY
If you play an instrument, this is a special way for you to bring praise to the Lord.  Brass and woodwinds are used on a weekly basis; drums, piano, guitar and bass guitar are also used at most services.  There are concerts and events featuring this ministry used for outreach and fellowship.  Members play in worship services and organizational events within the church and the local community throughout the year.  Auditions are required.

SOUND AND LIGHTING MINISTRY
Christ Covenant strives to provide an environment that will allow God’s Word to be effectively communicated and help engage the congregation in worship.  The sound and lighting crew endeavors to enhance the quality of corporate worship by providing services that are technically superb, musically polished, and sensitive to the needs of the congregation.  They also support the needs of other programs and activities in the church such as weddings, funerals, dinners, conferences and special productions.  Volunteers with experience in sound mixing or lighting are needed; training period is provided.

WORSHIP COORDINATOR MINISTRY
Worship Coordinators serve as ushers with the purpose of meeting the needs of both members and guests during Sunday Worship services at Christ Covenant.  They distribute bulletins, provide directions, assist people with their needs, welcome worshipers as they enter the sanctuary and receive the offering.  Team members serve one Sunday every four weeks in both morning and evening services.  Training is provided.  Men of college age or above are invited to volunteer.
